threenpc: (Val)
Name: Valino (AKA “Val”)
Age: 25
Birth date: July 21, 2014
Height: 5 ft. 11 in.
Weight: 174 lbs.
Primary Location: City Two-The Futuristic City
Addiction: Cigarettes and alcohol
Triggers: Anything relating to parents, Atolee, being confronted about his own problems, and being confined against his will.
Abilities: He is extremely skilled with throwing knives-seriously, he could hit a fly from twenty feet away. He has above-average strength (he has managed to toss an average-sized grown man as though he were a mere sack of potatoes). He has the ability to throw things less than ten pounds-with his mind. There is also his minor ability to read people's thoughts-only when they look him in the eyes.
Personality: This person is not someone anybody would want as a friend. He would be protective and caring, yes; but, how long this lasts, depends on the other person. To put it simply, he has a very foul temper. Combine that with a tendency to hold grudges, and you have a man that will make your life a living hell. He has been known to hold onto anger towards another person for many years. Perhaps this bitterness is only because of what happened to his family... and that his only living relative supposedly betrayed him. Anyone that is a soldier should really just avoid him altogether.

Basic Description

Void of all memories, Val wanders through the world almost aimlessly. He seeks to find answers to questions he isn't even sure are legitimate.

He is a very well-paid bounty hunter. As one of the main antagonist of Three Cities, he causes a lot of trouble for some people. He tends to show up at random times (as means of comedy relief, surprisingly) to annoy characters. He is also the main source of "sparking up" things.

Clothed in a low-hooded jacket, he prefers to hide his face. The main reason for this, is the scar going down his face (and the one on his neck is something he would prefer to hide, as well). He wields a gun that is used as primary means of completing his jobs. The secondary happens to be his bow and arrow set

Detailed History

He was once a normal child, in a world that primarily worshiped a god called Denea. The largest continent of that world was ruled by a king—a kind king, that cared for the well-being of all his residents. Things were going well for Ben and his family. He was doing well in school; and, his younger sister was labeled as a child prodigy. All-in-all, one could say he had the life anyone could want.

Eventually, Lucious (the new ruler-called Hell's King by most) began to pay extra attention to Ben and his family. It seemed that he was actually picking on them. Eventually, Lucious decided to arrest them. This did not go well. Ben's father ended up getting himself killed in attempt to save his family. Ben, his mother, and his sister were taken to prison. From there, they were moved to a special place-the Lucious Laboratories that ran underneath the three cities. Ben never again saw his mother. Answers were a thing that no prisoner could be granted; therefore, Ben knows nothing of what happened to her.

Despite how terrible things had become, they somehow managed to become even worse. The new king demanded that the scientists create "weapons" out of all of his favorites (which were the ones he considered most ~interesting~). Ben unfortunately had become one of them.

He quickly grew to hate everyone. The beginning experiment was simple questioning. Though the questions tended to have extreme punishments for "wrong" answers. Ben seemed to know mostly wrong answers. Despite this, He was deemed valuable and no severe damage was done. After they managed to sift through each and every prisoner, the remaining were made to wear masks. It was a very plain blue mask with a number on it, as means to give everyone new identities (they were referred to by the number on their masks – Ben's was “42”). One day, the twenty-one-year-old overheard Hell's King calling all of the prisoners "stupid humans". To this day, he still has no clue what that means.

Atolee had also become a favorite (she was able to tell them of things that neither her parents nor Ben realized she had overheard). Ben formulated a plan based on the trust his sister had gained. One day, during their thirty minute break outside, he asked Atolee to steal the master key as soon as possible. She agreed and promised to get it as soon as possible; however, Ben waited impatiently as days became weeks. Atolee continuously claimed to have not found the "right moment". The young man began to feel as though something was wrong. He told her to forget about it and that he did not want her “forcing herself”. She insisted, however, stating that a good moment had just surfaced. She then promised him that she would be back to see him, that night.

Someone did come to visit him, but it was not Atolee. Instead, Ben was looking face-to-face with the lead scientist. The wild-eyed man had a rather sick grin on his face. The woman that Ben had trusted and called "sis" his entire life... had seemingly sold him out. The truth refused to sink in, for Ben. He repeated over and over again, as he waited in his prison cell, that Atolee was a good person and would never do something so horrible. After all, she loved him. Weeks later, he started to believe it.

It was decided that Ben should be taught a REAL lesson for his escape attempt. Atolee, however, was set free and placed under a permanent guard. Her whereabouts still remain unknown by friends and family. Ben's punishment? Their latest and most advanced “surgical procedure”. They apparently wanted to see if they could manually give “someone like him" the ability to use more of their brain and become more of a loyal subject. Lucious was hoping that he would be able to create an army out of people "like him".

They did give Ben some interesting gifts-none to their knowledge: minor telepathy and telekinesis...

Frustrated with their "failure", they released Ben into a sort of confinement to kept an eye on him. One day, and nobody but Ben and his newfound friend know the full story, Ben ended up committing his first murder. Both guards assigned to watch him were brutally killed-necks snapped.

The "newly-made maniac", according to Lucious, has yet to exercise his full abilities, making his powers "unpredictable" and "dangerous". Therefore he should be "detained immediately".

For now, Ben-now known as "Val" (after a friend he had made in the lab)-simply roams the cities in hopes of one day getting revenge. He doesn't have many friends, though he does consider "Kai" something similar.

ABOUT GAINING HIS HELP

He has a soft spot for those that do not seem phased by him. That is the quickest way to gain respect from him. Also, if you are a victim of the king or any of his soldiers, that will easily gain his assistance. Of course, your best bet is to act as though it is no big deal that soldiers are after you. Sure, he will help you either way... but if you act terrified, he will likely just ignore you after helping you.

He loves anything with alcohol in it. He will deny that he has a slight problem. Honestly, though, he never manages to get drunk. Maybe that is why he likes to drink-he is waiting for the day he manages to get drunk... So buying this guy a drink is actually the best thing you could ever do.
